What is the return/exchange policy?
All purchases made online can be returned within 10 days of receiving the order for any reason. They must be returned in their original, unused condition. Refunds will be processed in the original form of payment EXCLUDING shipping costs (which are non-refundable with the exception of damage incurred in shipping).
If you want to exchange your purchase for something else or select a different color stone or finish, then please contact Info@JoanHornig.com with the specific request.
If your purchase arrives damaged or broken then please contact us immediately for a full refund, exchange or arrange for a repair.
When can I expect to receive my purchase?
All domestic orders should be received within 10 days or less. If your selection is out of stock, you will be notified of an expected delivery date, and you will not be charged for the item. In the event of a production delay, we will promptly notify you with an updated timeframe and offer you the opportunity to cancel your order. If your order consists of more than one item and a selection in your shopping card is on backorder, you will only be charged shipping on one order.
How will my purchase be shipped?
Domestic orders are shipped Fedex ground. All domestic orders must be signed for by an adult upon delivery unless specified otherwise. International shipping rates and methods will vary according to their size, value and destination. You will be informed prior to being charged of the non-domestic mailing options and their costs prior to shipping by calling Joan Hornig Jewelry at 212.427.6216 or by sending an email to Info@JoanHornig.com.
Will I pay sales tax on my purchase?
New York state sales tax is applicable for purchases sent to a New York address. You will see your tax charges on your receipt when you place your order.
Does Joan Hornig Jewelry have a retail store?
Joan Hornig Jewelry is carried in a variety of high end outlets including, but not limited to Bergdorf Goodman in New York City, the Museum of Arts & Design in New York City, and Lido in Puerto Rico.
Can I buy a gift certificate?

Is gift wrap an option?
Yes. Please note at check out that you want your purchase gift wrapped and add any personalized note you want included in the package.
Joan Hornig items are designed to make a statement and a difference. Every purchase generates a charitable donation of 100% OF THE PROFIT on that purchase and is made by Joan Hornig in the purchaser’s or gift recipient’s honor to the charity of the purchaser’s choice.
How do I specify a charity to benefit from my purchase?
Every purchase generates a charitable contribution made by Joan Hornig. The organization selected must be a registered 501(c)3. Fill out with as much information as possible your choice in the “Additional Notes” section at check out. If you are choosing a large organization with local branches then please specify which one you want to receive the donation. If you are choosing a specific program or department within an organization, please specify that. If you do not have a charity choice you can peruse the list of organizations already selected by other customers or have Joan Hornig select a charity for you.
The more specific the information you give us the better. We want to keep the giving going and thank you for taking the time to select a charity that matters to you.
How will I know the donation has been made?
Unless you specify otherwise, you will be referenced as the honoree of the donation. We hope the non-profit contacts you and thanks you, but we will also have a record. Donations are made quarterly.
How can I designate the donation to be made in someone else’s honor?
In the “Additional Notes” section when you place your order, please write down the charity with all the attendant information we request AS WELL AS the name of the person who you would like the donation to honor their email or postal address.
How does a charity make it onto the charities list?
Every non profit that has received a donation through sales is listed on 'Charities' page.
Where is the jewelry made?
All the jewelry is made by skilled artisans in New York City. All the jewelry designs are created by Joan Hornig.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Proper care and maintenance will preserve the beauty of your Joan Hornig Jewelry. Take care to avoid exposing jewelry to substances containing bleach or ammonia. Remove your jewelry before contact with water. Avoid contact with perfumes, hairspray, cosmetics or other household chemicals. Sterling Silver and brass can be polished with standard polishing cloths.
How can I have my jewelry repaired?
We apologize in advance if any of our products need repair. Please email Info@JoanHornig.com or call 212.427.6216 to arrange for a repair. All repairs are handled on a case-by-case basis. Charges are assessed once the item for repair has been received and evaluated by the representatives in our office. The client will be notified and must agree to accept any charges before proceeding with any repair.
Can I alter a piece of Joan Hornig Jewelry with Joan Hornig’s help?

What metals do you use for your jewelry?
We use 18K Gold, 14K Gold, Sterling Silver and Brass. Every item description includes the metals and stones/pearls used.
